You are correct, Marcy! :-) The Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP) can't tolerate multiple cooks in the kitchen (and it wouldn't make sense). On a z10, z/VM will set latches in the OSA to prevent sharing. For other machines, beware. > But Brian, I'm confused about your reason. The one thing we're missing is the ability to assign a VLAN id to a virtual NIC so that a VLAN-UNaware guest can use a single VLAN-aware VSWITCH. For now, if you want a single VSWITCH, you must make the guest VLAN aware and give the guest a virtual TRUNK port (SET VSWITCH GRANT) that is authorized for the <however many> VLAN IDs the guest needs.
