Even more humbly, with the REXX stage I referred to, it would go like: pipe < alex vmarc | vmarclst iso | sort 57.19 | take last | cons and if you want to change the time stamp of your VMARC file, you stick before the "cons" stage | dateconvert w4 iso short | spec ,DMSPLU ALEX VMARC A, 1 57.19 nw | command -Rob
