Unlike our brethren from "zee Other System" we don't need this. We're already very lean and mean and don't need no terse. With more of z/VM going OCO, things don't compress very well anyway ;-)
IIRC Last time I heard about it, the owner of that code had not or could not grant IBM to distribute the module in this way. I believe that issues with ownership of the algorithm also are the reason the pipeline stage never found the way out. Sir Rob the Plumber
