Is this because of any inherent weirdness in terminals per se or because CMS at its lowest level is not multithreaded or what?
I mean, you could be typing or drinking coffee or doing anything on a VMS or Unix VT100 terminal in 1981 or so and the system could still pump you a message any old time. -- Jack J.
