I went back to the config file to fix it up.
The main parts now are:

; CTC LINK TO Z530TEST
DEVICE CTCR900  CTC        900 ; USES "REAL" CTCA 900-901, TO Z530TEST
LINK Z530 CTC      1 CTCR900   ; UNDR READS FROM 1(=901), Z530 READS 900

HOME
  10.1.31.253   255.255.0.0   z530

GATEWAY
;
; NETWORK     1ST-HOP       LINK-NAME MAX-PACKET    SUBNET-MASK   S/N-VAL
;
  10.1.99.153   =            Z530      4096         HOST
 DEFAULTNET   10.1.99.153    z530      4096         0

START CTCR900

I restarted TCPIP, and now have:

NETSTAT GATE
VM TCP/IP Netstat Level 530

Known IPv4 gateways:

Subnet Address Subnet Mask FirstHop Flgs PktSz Metric Link
--------------  -----------      --------        ---- ----- ------ ------
Default         <none>           10.1.99.153     UGS  4096  <none> Z530
10.1.0.0        255.255.0.0      <direct>        UT   9216  <none> Z530
10.1.99.153     HOST             <direct>        UHS  4096  <none> Z530

Known IPv6 gateways: None

Ready; T=0.02/0.04 15:35:43

ifconfig
Z530     inet addr: 10.1.31.253 P-t-P: 10.1.99.153 mask: 255.255.0.0
         UP BROADCAST MULTICAST POINTOPOINT MTU: 9216
         vdev: 0900 rdev: 0900 type: CTC portnumber: 1
         cpu: 0 forwarding: ENABLED
         RX bytes: 276 TX bytes: 276
Ready; T=0.08/0.10 15:41:45

So, I seem to have the "widget" now. :-)

I only use layer 3 (IP).

I still cannot ping from the LAN to the UNDR system at 10.1.31.253.
What else do you think I have left out? (Sorry about the
slow turnaround time on my emails, but I am home on vacation
for the week of the Pesach (Passover) festival.)

Thank you!
Shimon
