I want to tie up some loose ends on threads I opened,
to thank you (Alan!) for your help, and to ensure that the archives
include solutions and not only problems. ;-)

I was routing from the LAN to VM via a vswitch, to an IP address
of a host connected via CTC to the VM TCPIP. The problem was
the obvious one: what I sent was not arriving.

Solution:
As they write on APARs: 'probable user error'.
Yes, I defined my VSWITCH as PRIROUTER so that the transmissions intended
for the host on the internal CTC net would be accepted into VM, but.....
I did not define the virtual NIC that coupled to the vswitch as PRIROUTER.
I misunderstood PRIROUTER as being a 'hardware' function,
so that the OSA would not discard packets from the network
which are intended for IP addesses not homed here. Now I see
that it also affects the 'virtual OSA' in the NIC, in the same way.

So... after fixing that I was able to communicate between the LAN
and the UNDR system.

Thank you!
Shimon
