It's also the server that runs the services to boot the diskless workstations (dhcp, tftp, nfs) and also runs the desktop for the clients. The idea is that you can use cheap old PCs as your X-server that way. I personally I like the idea to have a fanless (!) single board computer that attaches to the standard VESA mounting screws of your TFT screen. Rob
