Since this is a Page volume you are adding it doesn't matter much, but if it were a spool volume I would recommend updating the system config file as soon as possible, preferably before you make the dynamic change. If the system were to crash between the time you add the volume and the time you update the system config file, the system would revert to the definitions in the system config file. So it is best to change the system config first, then make the dynamic change.
