Nice set of articles, Jack.

Thanks! Mainframing deserves more media coverage than it gets. As folks pointed out, it's about delivering the goods and services that make the industrialized world tick, whereas the "sexy" side of computing, the pervasive and annoying web application, has devolved into such passionate triviality I find it hard to write about it.

Mostly I blog about Quantum Computing <http://dobbscodetalk.com/index.php?option=com_myblog&category=Quantum+Computing&Itemid=29> these days but it was fun to swim a few laps in the deep end of the classical computing pool with the boys and girls at SHARE.
