Hey that is right. I forgot all about VMMAGIC. We use to emulate
3330's on 3380 devices for some old DBOMP stuff.

There is a pure software solution available, not free, but I don't know
what the licensing costs are.

To quote the vendor: "VM Magic, a system software extension to the IBM
Virtual Machine (VM) facility, gives the VM user the capability of
simulating any supported disk device. Compatibility problems between
different disk types or technologies and software are, therefore,
eliminated."

Hello Listers,

I've been given some DDR tapes of 3380 volumes and I'm looking
for a way to restore them to 3390. Is this possible? I've tried to
define TDSK as 3380, but that fails.

Thanks in advance,
