Me too. :-) CF1, CF2 and CF3 come off the (virtual) tape in z/VM 5.4 with them defined to MAINT as RR, so I didn't have to do anything. Our starter USER DIRECT for z/VM 5.4 (on MAINT 2CC disk) has them set up that way. I also don't recall having to make them that way in 5.3 or 4.4. They are RR in the old 4.4 directory I have saved.
Never had a 3.1 system, but in VM/ESA 2.3 CF1 and CF2 were MR. (I save a lot of useful stuff!) Must have been the ghosts in the machine that changed it but not sure when.
