So when you ask for 1114 it will allocate 2 x 1113 and you get only 1114 from that. If it were Friday, I'd be wondering whether requesting 2226 when you need only 1114 is really preventing waste. It's just moving the waste to the next in line. As we all know data is thinner than blood and something will find a way to use the remaininig 1112 cylinders you took so that you did not waste... and you need to backup that extra space too ;-)
