VMUTIL is since ages no longer part of the base VM system; WAKEUP is, but the execs around it forming VMUTIL are no longer there.
As about the midnight problem: I try to explain the issue in documentation of RxServer (RxServer can be used to create a functionrich VMUTIL server). As to close consoles: that is best done a bit after midnight: CP's timestamp for spool files is the time of open, so if one'd close consoles just before midnight at date "d", console files of very active machines will have timestamp "d", but most of its content will be about "d+1" 2010/5/6 David Boyes <[email protected]> > VMUTIL is part of the base system, and does tasks like that.
