We brought up z/OS 1.4 under z/VM on our z10 after numerous experts told us it wouldn't work. I've become quite skeptical of authoritative-sounding claims that certain hardware/software combination simply "won't work". Too many people are CYA and, if it hasn't been tested, they say it won't work. Empirical evidence is the best kind. Of course, I don't have to tell you that "working" and being officially supported are not one and the same. ;-) -- Edward E Jaffe Phoenix Software International, Inc 831 Parkview Drive North El Segundo, CA 90245 310-338-0400 x318 [email protected] http://www.phoenixsoftware.com/ -- Dale R.
