Scott, Another thought based on a post a here a long time ago: CPSYNTAX only catches actual syntax errors. It is theoretically possible that you still have an error in your SYSTEM CONFIG file that is causing the " DISCONNECT_TIMEOUT OFF" line to be ignored, and the default 15-minute timebomb to take effect.
Could you check to see when the FORCEd user became disconnected? If they were forced 15 minutes later, then the fickle finger of fate is pointing to some type of error in your SYSTEM CONFIG file that does not cause an outright syntax error, or in the direction of a different SYSTEM CONFIG file being used when the system came up. I sure wish that there was something like a CP QUERY DISCTIMEOUT, and a CP SET DISCTIMEOUT, too! This should get interesting... :-) Mike Walter Hewitt Associates The opinions expressed herein are mine alone, not my employer's. Thanks in advance! Did you copy the FEATURES DISCONNECT_TIMEOUT from your old SYSTEM CONFIG to the new? Sounds like it was OFF, but now it isn't. (Default is 15 minutes.)
