do you run Top Secret or another security manager for VM ?

I verified no errors or warnings on the console. I also verified the
correct PARM disk was used and that it contains the updated SYS CONFIG
File.
Here is the entire features section, in case positioning is the issue:

Clear_TDisk , /* DON'T CLEAR TDISKS AT IPL TIME */

Scott,
Another thought based on a post a here a long time ago: CPSYNTAX only
catches actual syntax errors. It is theoretically possible that you
still
have an error in your SYSTEM CONFIG file that is causing the "
DISCONNECT_TIMEOUT OFF" line to be ignored, and the default 15-minute
timebomb to take effect.
Could you check to see when the FORCEd user became disconnected? If
they
were forced 15 minutes later, then the fickle finger of fate is pointing
to some type of error in your SYSTEM CONFIG file that does not cause an
outright syntax error, or in the direction of a different SYSTEM CONFIG
file being used when the system came up.
I sure wish that there was something like a CP QUERY DISCTIMEOUT, and a
CP
SET DISCTIMEOUT, too!
This should get interesting... :-)

I did, no errors detected and no errors during the IPL.

Did you used the CPSYNTAX tool to check the system config for errors?

That is exactly what I did. So I re-added it yesterday and scheduled a
IPL for last night and it still is happening.
SYS CONFIG Snippet:
Enable , /* ENABLE THE FOLLOWING FEATURES */
Dynamic_I/O , /* ALLOW DYNAMIC I/O CHANGES */
Set_Devices , /* ALLOW DYNAMIC SET DEVICES */
Set_Dynamic_I/O , /* ALLOW DYNAMIC CHANGES */
New_Devices_Initialized_When_Added, /* CREATE RDEV BLOCKS */
Set_Privclass , /* ALLOW SET PRIVCLASS COMMAND */
Validate_Shutdown , /* SYSTEM systemid is required */
DISCONNECT_TIMEOUT OFF , /* disables the automatic logoff */
Retrieve , /* RETRIEVE OPTIONS */
Default 25 , /* DEFAULT.... DEFAULT IS 20 */
Maximum 50 , /* MAXIMUM.... DEFAULT IS 255 */
MaxUsers noLimit , /* No limit on number of users */
Thank you,
Scott

Did you copy the FEATURES DISCONNECT_TIMEOUT from your old SYSTEM CONFIG
to the new? Sounds like it was OFF, but now it isn't. (Default is 15
minutes.)
