No, there is no setting in TCP/IP. It occurs when TCP/IP, PVM, YVETTE, or whoever deletes a logical device (Lxxxx terminal) while there is still a virtual machine logged onto it. I don't know why you didn't see it on your 5.3 system. Alan Altmark z/VM Development IBM Endicott
