New issue 1003 by yaoxuchen: ibus-1.3.5 blocks some of the gnome-terminal shortcuts
http://code.google.com/p/ibus/issues/detail?id=1003

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
OS (Linux distributions, UNIX or ...): Ubuntu 10.04
Architecture (i386, x86_64): i686
IBus version:ibus_1.3.5.20100701-1phuang2~lucid1_i386
Input method name and version:ibus-pinyin_1.3.8.20100709-1phuang1~lucid1_i386
Python version:2.6.5
dbus version:
dbus-python version:
gtk version (if bug is about gtk applications):
qt version (if bug is about qt applications):

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Open gnome-terminal, turn ibus to English input mode
2.The following shortcuts don't work:
Ctrl-R: for reverse searching
Ctrl-Shift-T: for open a new tab

Please provide any additional information below.

Downgrading ibus to ibus_1.3.3-1~ppa1_i386 doesn't solve the problem. However, if libibus2 is also downgraded from libibus2_1.3.5.20100701-1phuang2~lucid1_i386 to libibus2_1.3.3-1~ppa1_i386, the problem goes away. Thus I suspect the cause is libibus2 rather than ibus itself.

I also suspect this is highly related to Issue [http://code.google.com/p/ibus/issues/detail?id=968 968]
