I have the same question. Kubuntu 9.10 and 10.4., all the same. Custom fonts and size doesn't change anything for the input field. The regular input field font size is for some hanzi to small, at least for my old eyes... Checked all I found on the net, but nothing helped until now.
Any ideas where I could find more information, how to make that work? Thanks!
