Nautilus works after doing a pkill and restarting. I tried to refresh the
cache with gtk2 as I did with gtk+:
$ sudo /usr/bin/gtk-query-immodules-2.0 --update-cache
# GTK+ Input Method Modules file
# Automatically generated file, do not edit
# Created by /usr/bin/gtk-query-immodules-2.0 from gtk+-2.24.10

Cannot load module /home/mike/--update-cache: /home/mike/--update-cache.so:

/home/mike/--update-cache does not export GTK+ IM module API:
