New issue 1651 by [email protected]: QT: Use system keyboard layout
setting is ignored
http://code.google.com/p/ibus/issues/detail?id=1651
The QT module seems to ignore the "Use system keyboard layout" setting.
What's happening:
I use a Danish keyboard layout and use iBus for switching to alternative
keyboard modes, Greek and Hebrew from ibus-m17n. Example: In Danish the
/-key from the US standard layout is mapped to æ. To enter diacritics in
Greek you for example enter 'e' followed by '/'. That is, to get a
convenient layout for Greek the Danish layout should not be used. But in QT
(e.g. LyX) the mentioned combination gives "εæ", not "έ" as in non-QT
programs.
A workaround is to set another key for switching to US layout but that is
quite inconvenient.
I use Ubuntu 12.04 x86_64 and have:
ibus 1.4.1
ibus-qt4 1.3.1
ibus-m17n 1.3.3
