Input method name and version: ibus-pinyin 1.4.0
Python version: 2.7.4
dbus version: 1.6.8
dbus-python version: 1.1.1
gtk version (if bug is about gtk applications):
qt version (if bug is about qt applications):
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Compile and run any application with Java Swing text boxes e.g.

2.With focus in a text field, try to select Pinyin input
3.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Pinyin input not selected, remains as English input.
Behaviour is the the same with OpenJDK 1.6, OpenJDK 1,7 and Oracle Java 1.7
Please provide any additional information below.
Behaviour with other apps such as firefox, and gnome-terminal is okay:
Pinyin input can be selected and Chinese text entered
In Ubuntu 12.04 with ibus 1.4.1 and earlier versions of Ubuntu the
behaviour is as expected: Pinyin input can be selected and Chinese text
entered.
