Do you really use libreoffice-kde4 instead of libreoffice-gnome?
Thanks. I didn't install libreoffice-kde. I thought it's KDE since the GUI
tool buttons are not GTK+.
Now I can reproduce your problem and I'd suggest to report the bug in
libreoffice-kde4.
Since some ibus engines use focus-out event, I think there will be still
problems in engines even thought we add a workaround in ibus.
If libreoffice won't fix the focus-out events, probably we try to apply a
workaround:
