You mistook the available tarball.
https://github.com/ibus/ibus/releases/tag/1.5.8
It should be
https://github.com/ibus/ibus/releases/download/1.5.8/ibus-1.5.8.tar.gz
The archive one is generated by github automatically and it just archived
git directory.
I cannot delete the archived tar and zip files.
