It seems skype provides 32bit only.
My Ubuntu 64bit box has some dependency problem.
I tried 32bit Ubuntu Live Desktop and no problem.
Attached the result.
If you try skype 32bit on Ubuntu 64bit, you have to install ibus-gtk:i386
