It is part of QtCreator - it is meant to give editor behaviour similar to
vim (modal editing, movements in "normal" mode via hjkl... and so on - I
hope you know vim a bit, otherwise this could be frustrating to you :))
Go to options (Tools/Options) and on "FakeVim" group check "Use FakeVim".
From then you'll navigate editor like you would do in vi/vim.
