I modified libcxxw-0.1/ximxtransport.C and generated testrichtexteditor but
I cannot reproduce your problem.
I run testrichtexteditor many times and I can see the warning in
ibus-x11:xim_open() but I don't see any delay or hang with
testrichtexteditor.
I tried GNOME, KDE and XFCE in Fedora 21.
