Mine is on the hard right now and since I don't like having any more holes in 
my boat than I have to, I removed my transducer and glassed in the hole.  Soon 
I will try epoxying the old one to the inside of the hull.  I hope it works.  I 
did it on my last boat, (different brand and model of instrument) and it worked 
just fine.
