Mike,

Sounds like a bad idea. I don't know if it would blister or mold first but
ventilation near the hull is key.

Subject: [IC27A] Insulating your Boat

Has anyone tried to insulate you C27? I am going to line the inside hull
with wood similar to Bruce H's '78 on blumhorst website. But I wondered if
foam insulation behind the wood would work, if it would stick?

I found the tonge and grove wood I like at home depot. It can be stained to
my liking. They also have a sheet 8'x4' of wood that would work... but it's
pre stained, not a perfect color of my choice.

While pricing out at Home Depot I checked and they have a big 8'x4' sheet of
pink insulation. It's flexable and it is solid, not like the white foam dots
stuck together.

Any thoughts on insulating your c27?

Mine is a 1971 Dinette, port side galley, outboard.

Thanks,
Mike
