Well I finally got the boat back from the yard after a week turned into 6. Its the new normal because its always the same story. I'm glad it took so long, I needed the extra time to save for the bill. We had about a 10 hour motor sail offshore back to Charleston. I don't have a proper jib but if I did the wind was pretty light anyway. We stopped to fish for awhile adding 4 hrs onto the trip. It was a good trip, pointed out a lot of upgrades and issues I need to address I didn't see before. I've pretty much got to start over with sail handling and redesign most of the running rigging. Looks like we've come a long way since 1985. One day I'll brighten up and save the extra $6,000 to buy a boat ready to go than spend $10,000 getting it there, but what fun would that be? I've got a lot of work to do!
