And when you have the bob stay replicated be sure the terminals are filled
with polysulfide caulk before they are crimped.

 

Filling a rigging terminal with polysulfide caulk before they are crimped
was a recommendation from a BoatUS study of rigging failure claims.
Obviously it is to forestall crevice corrosion but I thought it was a
strange concept so I went looking to see if I could find evidence this was
being done and found it on my brother's IP38. So the technique is not new it
but I'd say it is not common practice.
