You might also have a ground fault receptical on board and if the small
breaker in that outlet is tripped it will not allow power to proceed past its
location.

Check that and the boat end of your power cord as that connection is a weak
 link in the system.

The A/C systems on these boats are not really complicated.

I ended up redoing the A/C system on by boat when I got it. Granted your
boat is 9 years newer - but the basics should still be the same. I would
check the following.

1. Power at the shore power plug.
2. Power at the hot side of the breaker.
3. Breaker is good.
4. Power is at the outbound side of the breaker.
4. Check wiring from breaker to outlets.

You can use a digital volt meter or a circuit tester from home depot.

When I ripped my system apart - the breaker box was all corroded and
rusted up. The wiring was ok, outlets were ok (but still replaced with GFI)

Hope this helps

Subject: [IC27A] Shore power not working

Hello Captains, Perhaps you can tell me where I can find a better
electrical schematic for my '88 Cat-27. The one that came in the boat
manual is not the same as the system that I have. Where can I find a
better
schematic?
