Sounds like a fuel starvation problem. Changing fuel filters would be a good place to start. If you have the original Facet fuel pump, check the strainer on the bottom of the pump. The engine starts fine, and idles okay. Initially, when I advance the throttle, the motor dies, almost like being flooded in a gas engine.. It is then somewhat difficult to restart (usually 3 or 4 tries), then it runs normally and smoothly, with no hesitation. The same behavior occurs after sailing around for a while. The mmotor starts okay, but wont initially power up. I suspect a dirty fuel filter or dirty injectors or maybe a dirty air filter. What do you think?
