Has anyone had any experience replacing the starboard midships bulkhead? It is
the one that holds the chain-plate and mates into a groove in the compression
post. At first glance, It appears that the mast would have to be de-stepped and
the compression post removed, the head disassembled and, perhaps, the v-berth
bulkhead removed, as well. Even with all that, I'm wondering what else would
have to be done.

This would be on a friends '86 C27. Problem is the bottom of the bulkhead is
rotten and the chain plate at risk of failure.
