Just in case you haven't noticed, you stepped on a land mine. There are two schools of thought here:
1) You don't have the "feel" with a wheel that you get with a tiller. The C-27 is small enough that a tiller is the way to go. 2) A wheel takes up less cockpit space and is more convenient for cruising. I happen to belong to the latter group, but understand the points of the former. I have an Edson pedestal on mine and LOVE IT. I also have an inboard A-4, so here's what I can tell you. I personally wouldn't want to do the install, it looks pretty involved and would be much easier without the motor in the way.
