Just in  case you haven't noticed, you stepped on a land mine.  There are two 
schools of thought here:

1) You don't have the "feel" with a wheel that you get with a tiller.  The C-27 
is small enough that a tiller is the way to go.

2) A wheel takes up less cockpit space and is more convenient for cruising.

I happen to belong to the latter group, but understand the points of the 
former.  I have an Edson pedestal on mine and LOVE IT.  I also have an inboard 
A-4, so here's what I can tell you.  I personally wouldn't want to do the 
install, it looks pretty involved and would be much easier without the motor in 
the way.  Having said that, somebody else here has done it (I haven't) and 
claims it's easier than it looks.
