Another point of view.  I have a 85 with an Edison pedistal, while trained on a 
tiller and agree there is more "feel", the wheel makes it easier for my wife to 
pilot and for guests.  Part of sailing is involving your passengers in the 
experience.  Wheel does give more on sail cockpit space but is a PITA to move 
around, then again we have a folding table attached to the pedistal.  Overall 
wheel gives more opportunity.
