My board is raw word and varnished on top. The underside has been growing a white flat mold. Is there anything to treat this with and to help the board last longer should I varnish it or paint the bottom? Christian Rainbows End Westport, CT

For a small piece of ply, you might check with one of the local boatyards (Svendsens, Berkeley, KMI, Richmond) - they might have a leftover they'll sell you. Otherwise, try MacBeath in Berkeley. They stock marine ply, veneers, solids, etc. Mac Beath Hardwood Co macbeath.com 930 Ashby Avenue Berkeley, CA 94710-2886 (510) 843-4390 Fair winds, Judy B http://www.blumhorst.com ________________________________ From: Easy <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Sat, December 12, 2009 9:21:53 PM Subject: [IC27A] How to replace a bilge board/cover? I need to replace my bilge board on my Catalina 27'. Does anyone know where I can buy a replacement? Alternatively, I'd be happy to make my own if anyone knows where to buy 1/2" marine grade Okoume plywood near San Francisco. Thanks!
