I carry an old metal Coleman electric cooler. Load it early and turn the temp to freezing while on shore power before departing the dock. It stays cold for some time. I can also plug it into an inverter while the engine is running. I'd never run it just off batteries, I think it would drain them in minutes. But I supplement with a regular ice chest, too. It sure is nice to step on the boat after a month or a few weeks away and have a cold one waiting for you. It sits on the quarter birth behind the dinette. It's heavy enough that it never moves at all but I will rig some sort of strap to be sure. If it looks like it will be really rough, it's easy enough to pick up and put on the cabin sole.

I would like to know the details of what you added and where you added it. Ted Pinelli [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
