I just attended a talk by one of the co-chairs of the Global Climate Change reports - both IPCC part II and also for New York City. NYC has a plan in effect for all divisions and support services to immediately plan for higher temperatures in the summer which would lead to overloads of electrical systems and heat induced illnesses, higher tides with flooding of services near the water's edge and more and more intense storms. Since many C27/C270 owners have their boats on the coasts, I'm thinking that in interesting topic for all would for those owners to share their perceptions of the effect of the forecast climate change on their marinas and sailing situations. For background, I have my boat and sail on Lake Erie. The predictions for Lake Erie are difficult since the changes depend greatly on what happens to the jet streams - which in themselves are variable. Comments? Bob Speers Finale - C3587
