Personally, rising water levels would benefit me greatly, as I would run aground a lot less in Great South Bay, and my home, which is currently about 1.5 miles inland, would increase in value dramatically if it was closer to the shore. But seriously folks, there is so much information, politics, science, and opinion on both sides of this issue that I think this forum is not the appropriate place to discuss it.

NYC has a plan in effect for all divisions and support services to immediately plan for higher temperatures in the summer which would lead to overloads of electrical systems and heat induced illnesses, higher tides with flooding of services near the water's edge and more and more intense storms. Since many C27/C270 owners have their boats on the coasts, I'm thinking that in interesting topic for all would for those owners to share their perceptions of the effect of the forecast climate change on their marinas and sailing situations. For background, I have my boat and sail on Lake Erie. The predictions for Lake Erie are difficult since the changes depend greatly on what happens to the jet streams - which in themselves are variable. Comments?
