I live at 401 and Warden
The boat is at Queen City Yacht Club on Toronto Island, I strongly
recommend a club, FB is OK but can get really shallow. There is
another 270 at QCYC and he has no problems getting in and out.
I Did the trip last year down the St. lawrence to Montreal and then up
the Ottawa River to Ottawa and back via the Rideau. Toronto to
Montreal can be done in a leisurely 10 days. Quebec city is another
4-5, but there are some serious issues with current, a set of rapids
above Trois Rivierres. The real problem is trying to come back against
the current. I would strongly suggest trucking the boat back. 2 years
ago I went down as far as Chryseller Park and the first 2 days coming
back we had trouble making 3.5 knots with the A-4 wide open against
the current. You could truck back to Montreal and then go up the
Ottawa and down the Rideau (which is all motoring as the waterway has
only 22 feet of air-draft, so you have to have the mast on deck until
you get back to Kingston.

If you are interested, the first half of the trip is blogged on-line
at http://www.sailblogs.com/member/peregrine3695/ and there are
pictures with captions linked below
