I installed my tiller piston on the starboard cockpit combing and the pin in the top of the tiller using an extension piece supplied by Raytheon. It works great and no under tiller bracket needed. Additionally I built a piston rest into the combing that makes the piston available when desired and easily disconnected and stored when desired. This installation does not interfere with my cockpit seat cushions. I will provide pictures if you wish, but you can see it if you go to ahsovereignty.com David Hoyt Sovereignty Catalina 27 #65 In a message dated 3/6/2010 7:25:35 P.M. Hello, I have a 1977 C27 and am trying to install a Raymarine ST2000 on the starboard seat. After my measurements it appears as though I need the Raymarine lower 3 inch bracket to keep the autopilot more level. Have any of you installed this autopilot and did you need this bracket as well? Thank you in advance, James
