I don't know the year of your boat or how it is plumbed. My WAG would be that the pumping kit on the head has failed. You probably should rebuild the head after closing off the sea water intake. My guess is what you are seeing is sea, lake, or river water, wherever you sail, in the head. When it comes to boats (holes in the water) I'm very paranoid. I keep all through hulls shut off unless they are needed, e.g., water intake for the engine.
