Hello all,
My 73 C27 had a Raritan head and it was not working. I got some bad info re.
replacing the pumping mechanism and it was supposedly not available (it was),
so I bought the Jabsco unit. It did hang over slightly, but thought that it was
ok. I didn't like the way I would have to plumb into the thru-hulls (drilling
new and larger holes thru the bulkhead, so took it back. The owner said he was
sorry for the misinformation and paid me back. I ordered the Raritan pumping
unit and now back in business utilizing the existing holes.

The base size is different, so it actually hangs off the fiberglass pedestal.
There is still plenty of contact area for the unit - but the front corner off
the bowl isn't going to fit.

The boat is a 79 and the head is a Jabsco compact twist/n lock unit.

Derek.-

Mount it directly on the fiberglass.  If the old holes are a problem, use some
Marinetex to fill in the old holes and drill your new holes.
