If you don't like the location in the port locker, take a look under the 
pilot's berth right by the electrical panel. The previous owner installed a 
tray in the space between the hull and the floor of the pilots berth (I guess 
he epoxied it in). Anyway, I've got 2 6-volt batteries inbound and that's where 
I'm gonna install the new, bigger house bank. 

I have an outboard, though, so not sure those of you with inboards have the 
same available space (ie: didn't know if any of the engine or hoses are fed 
that way). 

Anyway, it's a nice spot and should be tall enough for a battery, and certainly 
easier to maintain without contorting into a pretzel to climb into the locker.
