I'm not familiar with your individual cabin configuration - My (1972 #448 tall rig) had a dinette layout with the galley aft - My battery bank was inside the storage space under the port side settee directly under the alcohol stove - this was VERY HANDY to check specific gravity of batteries or if need be, to attach a battery charger while plugged into shore power... This is a F.W.I.W. idea if interested - I was amazed they buried your batteries so far aft and so far our of convenient reach... capt.bill
