Wow as a fellow woodworker that is pretty awesome. I do mostly rehab of existing pieces I pickup for free from Craigslist, but the planing and dowel (I assume you used wood dowels) work you did are top notch. You have me motivated to try something similar with some old oak or walnut desktops.
