We didn't check the impeller. It was replaced last year so we didn't worry
about it; in my experience, with water coming out the weep hole the pump
assembly itself is failing. Plenty of water was coming out of the exhaust.

The distributor that my marina called (I was present for this) said they
have no more rebuild kits and won't get any more as they are not being made
any longer. (Sherwood 6-screw version)

It looks to be a pretty easy replacement -- 4 bolts holding the pump to the
engine -- but I didn't want to deal with the hoses, which are no doubt
practically fossilized in place, and the outflow hose ends up in a very
difficult to reach area.
