funny, my dad's old Jaguar (just prior to the Ford ownership) had a coil mounted on the exhaust manifold. It blew regularly. Only the gods know why Jaguar thought it a good idea to mount a heat sensitive bundle of really thin wires submersed in oil to a heat producing part of the engine. Perhaps those dumb British engineers worked on the '77 Atomic engine too. They also created the Lucas system, the most intelligent electrical system ever devised (where you had a positive voltage instead of ground/negative on most parts).
God bless diesel engines. David On Thu, Jun 10, 2010 at 7:18 AM, sbayless <[email protected]> wrote: > > > Folks: > > I have a '77 with an Atomic Four Engine.
