Rudder packing gland?   I think mine is a fibreglass tube with a 
stainless shaft inside it.  No packing gland, no bearings.  The tube 
goes up to the top of the rudder post, which is why it doesn't flood the 
boat...    You mean prop shaft packing gland flax?
